The European program GET.invest has opened a new round of evaluation for renewable energy projects and companies seeking access to financing, through a specialized advisory scheme that aims to improve their financial readiness and facilitate contact with potential investors.
The call for proposals sets December 1, 2026, as the deadline for submitting applications to be considered in the next selection process. However, applications remain open year-round and are evaluated in six-week cycles.
The initiative is aimed at developers and companies in the energy sector that need to structure their projects, strengthen their business models, or identify sources of capital suited to their needs.
Unlike grant programs or direct financing, GET.invest does not provide financial resources to participants, but rather offers free technical and financial assistance services to facilitate access to investors and credit institutions.
The program includes two support mechanisms: Finance Catalyst, aimed at clean energy projects and companies in more advanced stages, and Finance Readiness Support, aimed at local companies in early stages seeking to prepare to receive their first formal investment.
The services available include the design of investment strategies, the structuring of financial models, business development, the identification of sources of capital, and support during negotiations to finalize financing operations.

What projects can be submitted and what are the requirements?
The call for proposals includes various technologies and business models related to the energy transition, including renewable generation projects, energy storage, electricity networks, isolated systems, energy efficiency, electric mobility and green hydrogen.
According to the program's criteria, companies seeking corporate financing must require a minimum investment of 500,000 euros, while projects requesting structured financing on their own assets and cash flows must contemplate at least 5 million euros.
Likewise, applicants must demonstrate a certain degree of technical, commercial and financial maturity, through documentation that allows for the evaluation of their viability and their potential to attract investment.
Geographically, the mechanism focuses on sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific region, with additional requirements linked to the eligibility of countries receiving official development assistance. Therefore, it is not an open call to all Latin American markets.
Applications must be submitted through the program's official portal. After each round closes, the evaluation process typically takes six to eight weeks, and selected projects are contacted to determine the scope of support.
GET.invest is co-financed by the European Union, Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Sweden and Austria, and aims to mobilize private investment to accelerate the development of sustainable energy solutions.
Those interested can check the requirements and access the application process on the official GET.invest website .
