Brazil awarded the eight lots included in its Transmission Auction No. 4/2026 , in a process that will mobilize around R$ 8.8 billion in investments and that closed with an average discount of 50.10% compared to the maximum values established by the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL).
The tender includes 1866 km of new transmission lines , the operation and maintenance of another 483 km of existing infrastructure and substations with a total transformation capacity of 12,694 MVA .
And its result implies, according to the regulator, an estimated savings of R$ 20.7 billion for consumers during the 30 years of validity of the concessions.
The winning bids collectively set R$ 811.1 million in Permitted Annual Revenue (PAR) , compared to a regulatory ceiling of approximately R$ 1,625 million . It should be clarified that the PAR is the revenue that the winning bidders will receive for constructing, operating, and maintaining the transmission assets from the time they become commercially operational.
The projects will be distributed between Bahia, Goiás, Mato Grosso do Sul, Paraíba, Paraná, Rondônia and São Paulo , with entry into operation deadlines that vary between 42 and 60 months.
Neoenergia, EDP, CYMI, Celeo and Cox share the eight lots
